Charity Newsies weekend Saturday again for Atchie!

Bexley Class of 1980: Please come out and support Atchie this year. If you're able to do a "drive by" to see him, please take a picture of him in all his glory and text or email it to me. (Thanks Chuck for doing it last year!!) 248 505 3331 or fitnesst@aol.com Teri Cohodes Morof, Your Alumni Class Representative fitnesst@aol.com Charity Newsies Well it's that time of year Teri when I will be out on the corner of James and Livingston Roads collecting money for the Charity Newsies! This upcoming Saturday, December 10 nearly 600 Newsie volunteers and I will be collecting money all day that day on Columbus street corners raising money to help clothe children for school in Franklin County. Charity Newsies has been providing new, free clothing to an average of 15,000 children ages 5-17 each year for over 100 years so those children can attend school. Unique to the Charity Newsies, every dollar raised goes to buying and subsequently providing clothing and school supplies - the organization's operating expenses are covered by the members' annual dues. If anyone would like to come and see me on the corner THIS Saturday it would be great! (Again that's James Road and Livingston Avenue on the East side. Atchie will or should be on the North side of the intersection most of the day so if folks come South on James from Broad Street, they will pass him.) As usual I will offer a warm heart but a cold handshake... lol. For those who cannot make it out next Saturday and want to contribute they can mail checks to the below address anytime. Many thanks in advance! It will be great to see anyone who can stop by the intersection THIS Saturday! Atchie If you can't make it out to see Atchie this Saturday, below are other options for you to contribute: Go to www.charitynewsies.com to donate via the web. -There is a comment field to put Atchie Atcheson or James and Livingston corner for them to receive credit. (Ideally this would be best way to donate) Mail checks to: Charity Newsies 4300 Indianola Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43214 (please make checks payable to the Charity Newsies) Atchie Atcheson (Home address) 4280 Mountview Road Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220 (please make checks payable to the Charity Newsies) Note: Put the name ATCHIE ATCHESON or JAMES AND LIVINGSTON in the notes field on your checks. Atchie's corner will get credit! -

Scott Hanna Pelotonia cancer fundraising bike ride

Scott is riding in Pelotonia, a bike race to raise funds for Cancer research at the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research institute. Go get 'em, Scott!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Finally the spring rains quit and the summer heat is upon us. I am reaching out to you again to ask for support to find a cure for cancer. Last year Team RJJ was established as a vehicle to raise awareness and funds to fight the nasty disease. Team RJJ consisted of Rita (Willcox), Janet (Alexander) and Jay (Hanna) who all lost courageous battles against cancer in 2009. Unfortunately in 2010 cancer took another family member; Vera “Nan” Click who was a very, young 97.

So I am asking you to please consider a donation to the Pelotonia Ride against cancer. Here is the link for donation.

Here is the link to my rider profile: www.pelotonia.org:

Teri moves on to the next chapter in her life

Here is an update for you:

Teri Cohodes Morof:

Lee and I are now divorced after 12 years of marriage. We are raising our son, Joey, together. We share custody and are getting along amicably. He bought a house just down the street, about a1/2 mile.
We have two dogs-I will keep Maggie, our border collie/Australian Sheppard mix; Lee will have Buddy come to live with him, Anatolian Sheppard/Yellow Lab mix.

I am doing ok. It's been hard, but I am managing.
You guys know how I like to excel at everything I do. I want to be the "poster child" of a successful divorce/successful parenting.
I saw first hand what not to do from what I experienced from my own parent's divorce.

I am still working out and doing yoga. That has helped. (Thanks, Trish, for joining me for yoga while you have been living in Birmingham this past year.)

I hope to be retiring from teaching at the end of this school year, after 27 years.
What is my next career? My son suggested that I get a job as a cashier. Please send me your suggestions.

I am still at the same address:

Teri Morof
1795 Latham St.

That's my news! What's yours? Keep those updates coming.
I figured that I can't expect updates from you if I am not sending you updates about me.
