Check this out - Reunion invitation clarification
Hi.
By now, you've probably received your invitation via snail mail. This is to clarify something in that mailing. If you will be attending the Saturday dinner and purchasing a parade t-shirt, you can write one check covering the prices of the two items on one check and send that to Leslie. You don't have to write separate checks for each. Just as long as it's noted on your RSVP.
Thanks.

What follows is an e-mail to Teri from Paula Sluder Schleppi:
Hi Teri,
Update:
Paula L (Sluder) Schleppi
12088 Goodman Rd
Ashville, OH 43103
ricknpaula@bright.net
Rick and I married Nov. 6, 2003 in a simple ceremony at Circleville Mayors office. We have know each other for 7yrs. We have my son Dustin, 19 yrs of age and his daughter Christina 13 yrs of age. We are both happier than we have ever been. Still living in the country in a ranch home w/6 acres, no more horses, no more chickens, just one cat w/three new kittens, but still plenty of lawn to mow!! No longer in the telecommunications industry, currently working with an interior decorating company, faux painting, window treatments, drywall repair, etc. A lot less stress and a lot more rewarding!!!
At this time, we are still not sure of our plans for the reunion weekend, however, trying to make the picnic fit our plans.
Take care,
Paula

Greetings from BlogMaster Meck
This is BlogMaster Meck giving a shout out to all you kids there in BHS80World!
So, yo, yo, yo, I'm looking forward to being with all my peeps from the hood coming up this July 4th weekend at our 25th reunion! See you there!
(I know what you're thinking, and you're right. I'd make a horrible rap artist. I won't quit my day job. Ok?)
Cathy Klunk Armstrong update
Hi,
What follows is an e-mail I got from Cathy. The last time I saw her was in the late '90's at the Columbus Marathon, which she mentions in the e-mail. Also, be sure to click on her website link for photos of her. She looks great!
David,
It was very good to hear from you and it sounds like you are keeping busy with a number of activities. You have a good memory from the Columbus Marathon. Since then my husband Chris and I have completed Las Vegas, New Oreleans, Disney and Boston Marathons.
We competed in Triathlons for 10 years and have migrated to road cycling and whitewater kayaking.Chris and I lived in Georgia for 10 years and moved to California 5 years ago. We live in the foothills of the Sierra's and spend as much time as we can in the mountains backpacking and hiking with our 2 dogs, Sierra and Hawi.
Recently we have traveled to South America and kayaked in Chile and this year we are traveling to France to follow the Tour de France on our bicycles. This will be Chris's second trip and he has done all the planning for our group of 11 making the trip. The Tour is in July so I do not think we will be able to attend the reunion.
Our jobs keep us very busy as Chris is the Fitness Director and an Instructor for the Academy for the Sacramento Metro Fire District. I work for a large pharma company as a Sales Specialist for Molecular Diagnostics.
I have attached a photo that is very typical of who we are. We are at the top of Matterhorn Peak with 2 of our friends, which is on the backside of Yosemite. Here is website where we log all of our adventures if you are interested or just have some time to kill.http://community.webshots.com/user/chrisarmstrong100
I hope the reunion goes well and please send my regards. Thanks to you and the committee for all your hard work and palnning that has gone into the event.
Warm Regards,
Cathy Klunk Armstrong

Reversal of fortune
Are you aware of how to make a fortune cookie fortune that much raunchier? One way to do so is to add the words "in bed" to the end of it. I learned of this several years ago at work when a colleague mentioned this over lunch at a local Chinese restaurant.
Workplace birthday tradition
Where I work at OSU, it is the custom that when a department staffer has a birthday, he or she has to bring in something to eat in honor of the event. One year, I came up with an idea to play upon the aforementioned concept.
Help me, Rhonda. Help, help me, Rhonda.
I then contacted Rhonda Lashen Schottenstein, who ran her very successful "Fortunately Yours" fortune cookie company at the time, for assistance. Rhonda was most helpful, just great to work with on this. I came up with three sayings and had her company add the "in bed" suffix to them so it would already be printed on the fortune and you wouldn’t have to add it on your own. They were sayings such as "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise in bed" and "A penny saved is a penny earned in bed." A few weeks later, Rhonda got them too me.
I took them in the office and they were a big smash hit with my co-workers. They really got a huge kick out of it. But, this isn’t the end of the story, as a bigger laugh is yet to come.
Co-workers turned the joke back on me
For, you see, another custom is for the rest of the staff to meet up at the birthday person’s work station and serenade him or her with "Happy Birthday." Only this time, in my case, they sang, "Happy Birthday to you in bed. Happy Birthday to you in bed. Happy Birthday, Dear David in bed. Happy Birthday to you in bed." I just loved it. It made my day.
