Cathy Klunk Armstrong's fundraising efforts to fight ALS!

Here is a message I received from Cathy Klunk Armstrong regarding her efforts to raise funds to fight ALS:

Dear Family and Friends,

I recently accepted the challenge of participating in The ALS Central Coast Century. You have the opportunity to “make a difference” by helping to fight ALS or "Lou Gehrig's Disease" in your support of this event.

Often, when someone like Lance Armstrong (no relation) beats cancer or some other disease, a strong advocate is born. The survivor works to help find a cure. He or she volunteers, organizes fundraisers, and gives generously knowing that sharing their gift of a “second chance” will support and benefit their community. But, there are NO survivors of ALS. It is 100% fatal.
Since the average lifespan of an ALS patient is two to five years from diagnosis, there are fewer advocates raising money to help find a cure. That is why I have chosen to be an advocate to help fight this terrible disease.

I am asking you to help by supporting my fund-raising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many! It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make your donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below.

To send a donation:

Make all checks payable to: The ALS Association

Mail to: Cathy (Klunk) Armstrong
5540 Camas Ct.Orangevale, CA 95662

Any amount, great or small, helps in the fight. I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Thank you for your consideration and support.

Kind Regards,
Cathy (Klunk) Armstrong

Teri and Joey Morof attend LA video shoot

Here is a note from Teri regarding her and Joey's video appearance:

Joey was selected to be in a Disney children's video in Los Angeles, CA last week. We had a great time. Joey was part of the audience, like a rock concert of kids cheering, dancing, singing, and participating. The parents were also a part of the show. So I will be in the video too.

There were a total of 10 songs that were performed. Each one takes place in a different city or country around the world, places like Paris, Italy, Japan, New York, etc. There were set changes between each song. They filmed for about 5 hours and the kids were ages 3-7 that were in it. We happen to know Ralph because we have attended several of his concerts here in Michigan and we hired him to perform at Joey's 4th birthday. He is a very talented musician whose latest CD, Green Gorilla Monster and Me, was nominated for a Grammy award this year 2006 in the children's category. The video will appear on the Disney channel and also be released on DVD. Ralph Covert, of Ralph's World, was the entertainer who performed. www.ralphsworld.com

Here is a note from Ralph that we received just yesterday:
And now a note directly from the keyboard of Ralph Covert about our video shoot last week in Los Angeles:

Many thanks to all the fans who were able to help out with the new Ralph's World videos. We had folks who came in from places as far away as Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, and New York. The kids were just wonderful, and it was great to share the experience with them. The video shoot went well, and we're looking forward to sharing the finished videos with everyone as soon as possible. You should be seeing them soon on the Disney Channel.

The Detroit fans were Joey and I.

Hi from Indy!

I'm here for the Big 10 Women's Basketball tournament!

Go Bucks!

While here, I visited by phone with Debbie Brown Parker. She and her family are doing well. Scheduling conflicts did not make it possible for us to meet up somewhere.

I've attended tournament games, visited the Indy Motor Speedway, and got Buckeye players and coach autographs at a downtown mall event.

Fun, fun, fun!

O H ....... IO!
