30 year reunion initial plenary session

Carole Yoder, Dr. Leslie Mormol Green, and Meck join Teri Cohodes Morof at the first meeting to plan the Bexley Class of 1980 30 Year Reunion on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Bexley Starbucks on Main Street.

Tentative weekend schedule-times and locations tbd
Fri July 2, 2010 Red, White and Boom fireworks downtown Columbus.
Sat July 3, 2010 Informal gathering in the evening. Classmates and spouses/sig others (optional). Rubino's late at night (if interested).
Sun July 4, 2010 30th reunion event in the evening for classmates and spouses/sig others.

Mon July 5, 2010 Bexley 4th of July parade in the morning.

Topics discussed at the meeting included:
-what dates we're going to have the events
-what events we're going to have
-where we may have the events and what that would cost us
-parade and t-shirts
-invites and registration
-nametags and class update information
-future planning meetings: will be held at the Hilton Easton in the lobby or by SKYPE, an internet conferencing service.

Please feel free to e-mail Teri or Meck with any ideas/thoughts/suggestions for the committee to consider for the Saturday and Sunday evening venues. The selection of these venues will be taking place in the next couple of months. Any other thoughts are welcome.

Cathy Klunk : World Traveler/Athlete

Cathy sent an e-mail in which she reports she has been traveling this spring and summer. She was in Italy where she raced in the Maratona Gand Fondo in the Dolomites and climbed the famous Stelvio as well as many other classic passes in the Dolomites.

Cathy has also competed in a few triathlons during '09. She qualified for Nationals at Donner Lake, her second in 12 years. "Unfortunately," says Cathy, "Nationals were in Alabama the same weekend I was racing in Santa Barbara...not a real tuff choice there!!!"

She is currently in training for two half marathons and is "just hoping to stay healthy."

30th Reunion Meeting. 11 AM Sunday, Oct. 18th. at the Starbucks on Main.

Dr. David Eisenstein enjoys Ohio State's 31-13 truimph over the Wisconsin Badgers at Ohio Stadium on Saturday, October 10, 2009. David attended the game with Meck. The duo met up with Bill Pohlman (BHS'78), brother of John Pohlman (BHS'80), at a tailgate party.
