Teri's report on BHS'80 World meet up weekend!

Hi all,

On Friday: Joey and I joined Dana and her daughter, Mimi, at Rubino's.Pete Mercer and Don Dozer also were there. A friend of Dana's joined us too.
Afterwords, Dana, Mimi, Joey, and I went to Jen's ice cream meeting my cousin's Jen, Brian, and daughter, Maddie. Mike Lefkowitz showed up too!

On Saturday, August 7th, at Rhonda's we had beautiful weather.

The following Bexley 1980 Alumni came to the Rhonda's party along with a few other guests:
Chuck and Cathy Tennenbaum, with children: Joseph, Jordan, and Lauren; Millie Shaw Archer and her children: Chandler, Alex, and her son, Avery;
Leslie Mormol Green and her daughter, Erica; Carole Yoder, Rhonda Lashen Schottenstein, husband Steve and their children;
Atchie Atcheson, Pete Mercer, Phil and Julia Bloch,Tommy Kaufman and his 3 kids, Kaki Kozelek and nephew, Mac; Mike Lefkowitz;
Teri Cohodes Morof and son, Joey; Dana Goldin Marion, and daughter, Mimi;

At Mike's, that evening, the following people stopped by along with a few other guests:
Cheri and Tod Friedman, David Meckler, Chuck and Cathy Tennenbaum, Hesh and Leslie Mormol Green,
Rhonda and Steve Schottenstein, Teri Cohodes Morof, Carole Yoder, Mike Lefkowitz, Pete Mercer,
Dana Goldin Marion, Millie Shaw Archer, and Tommy Kaufman.

Great fun and laughs were had by all at Rhonda's house. The food and drinks were plenty and the camaraderie between all of us was fantastic. Rhonda, I cannot say enough about what a special treat is was to spend the day at your home by the pool with life long friends! I hope you all had as much fun as I did. Thank you to Rhonda for putting together such a beautiful spread and being so accommodating to all of us. For those that attended, I have heard nothing, but great feedback from you. Rhonda's party was so great that we convinced Dana and Millie to stay in town for the party at Mike's. Rhonda changed her plans for Sat. night and the party at her house ended later than expected because everyone was connecting and having so much fun.

Rhonda has mentioned that she would like to do this again soon and may be open to having an evening get together at her home this fall during an away OSU football game. What a treat to have Rhonda in our class!

Mike's home was the next get together Thank you so much for your hospitality , Mike, and for kindly offering your home to hang out on Saturday evening. The pizza, subs, and other good food were awesome. We decided to get Masey's pizza-Dana had already had her Rubino's fix. Dana and Pete went to pick up the pizza on Pete's motorcycle. Chuck, thanks for bringing such a nice tray of subs! There was plenty of food and drink for all.

Those that came from out of town and from in town-Thanks so much for making the trip and for making time to be together. It was such a treat to get to spend a wonderful Saturday with some very special friends. We also really appreciate the amazing food items that were made and purchased (LOL)-The chicken wings made by Carole, and Millie's cookies and desserts, and Kaki Kozelek and Julia Bloch brought homemade delicacies as well. (Others brought things and please forgive me for not specifically acknowledging each of you for your contributions.) Chuck brought Scotch-pretty strong stuff, eh?!?

Three surprises for me: I did not expect to see Cheri and Tod at Mike's.. thanks so much for making it there, Tod and Cheri!! And Tommy Kaufman dressed as someone from the 70's at Mike's as well.

Finally, I did not expect to get to see Rhonda's home and what a treat that was. She was so kind to take a few of us through it and it truly was/is magnificent.

Next Get togethers:

We are looking at dates in the fall to get together. I have had a few of you suggest some ideas. Feel free to email me with suggestions for another get together sometime in the next 2 months. Let me know so we can get something in the books. I will continue to be persistent with all of you. like big surprise there :>

Ruthie Schnitz Redmond update

Hi Teri,
I am so sorry that I missed all the festivities this summer. It sounds like you and your Helpers did an amazing job. Everything sounded like a blast and based on the feedback I have seen everyone was extremely grateful. And it seems the fun continues throughout the summer. Please send my regards to the class, and I hope to join you all for the next big event.

Anyone heading to Phoenix, please call. And in the summers you can find me in Jackson, WY. Cell phone is 602-509-5155.

Oh, and Mom forgot to tell me that she saw you. When I brought it up, she of course got all animated about how great it was to see you and that you look great!

Anyway, take care, have fun, and please send regards to the class of 1980.

Jill Rosenbloom Firestone update

Hi Teri,

You've really done a fabulous job for the reunion and for this and future get togethers. You also look fabulous in the process. Time has been good to you!

I have been working and traveling non-stop actually since July and am looking forward to not traveling again until Nov. I wanted to get in touch with Rhonda S. -can you forward me her email?

She sent me something on Facebook but I rarely go on Facebook, maybe 2x a year and wanted to get back to her through email.

Due to all my traveling and my kids being so patient with my career, as usual, we just got a puppy, daisy. We already have 2 other dogs, Cookie, 7 yr. lab and Nikki, 2 yr. schnoodle. I need this like a whole in the head but my work schedule is crazy with no end in sight and my kids really wanted her.

Hope all is well with you! I'm hoping to make one of these reunion-week-ends in the future.

Take care,
Jill

David, I am pleased to tell you that Columbus Crew U-20 soccer team became the National Champion on August 1, 2010, in Rockford, IL. Ross played every minute over the five game final tournament to cinch the National Title. Ross played right back and did not let any goals.
