Note about Missy Becker passing away

Here is an e-mail regarding the untimely passing of Missy Becker, which happened Saturday, March 26, 2005:

From Greig Lake to Teri Cohodes Morof:

Teri:

I spoke with Missy's mother Sunday morning. Missy passed away at the hospital late Saturday night after a long battle with small cell cancer. Missy is survived by her mother, brother, and daughter.

I was unable to attend the funeral because of extenuating circumstances however, my sister was able to attend. She said the service was simple and elegant just as Missy would have wished.

I spoke with Rabbi Brickner from Temple Israel and we will discuss putting together a memorial ceremony for local friends. Missy spoke fondly quite often about Bexley and her years here.

It deeply saddens me to pass on the news of her passing and I will keep you all posted in regards to her memorial.

Thanks.

Greig

Address and Directions to Rocky Fork Country Club

The following is taken from e-mail to me by Michael Lefkowitz and has an address and directions to The Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club, site of the Saturday evening event. Thanks, Michael.

The Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club's address is 5189 Clark State Road, Gahanna, Ohio, 43230. The directions should be on mapquest or something like that web site. On the other hand, the general directions are go north on Hamilton Road to Clark State Road. Turn east onto Clark State and go about 1 mile to the driveway for Rocky Fork. Once you enter the driveway, you drive for about 2 miles and will come up to the main building.

Possible Parade Solution from Tim Robinson

E-mail from Tim Robinson to Teri Cohodes Morof:

Teri-
I saw David M's plea for help. Who is the city's coordinator for the parade? I do not have a flatbed, but I do have a (smallish--20 ft.) hay wagon that could be pulled with a large SUV or one of my antique tractors. The problem is that I would need to trailer the hay wagon…and my tractor if needed...from our farm in Granville to Bexley and have to park the trailer somewhere, etc. We would not be able to get anywhere close to everyone on the hay wagon (probably about 40-50 tops), but if we can't find a flatbed it would be better than everyone walking. Also, I have a beautifully restored convertible, and if there are other classmates who have (or have access to) some convertibles, that could be another option for giving people rides. Let me know if you think either is a viable option.

Get us a flat bed truck for our float, please!

Hey someone, do something! Quickly!

As it stands currently, classmates will be walking in the Bexley 4th of July parade and not riding on a float. That’s right, the class that never won a Homecoming parade float and had a reputation for apathy, will hoof it during the parade.

What are you looking at me for? Hey, I got you this website, didn’t I?

I’m not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV (those of you who are members of the American Medical Association and have taken the Hippocratic oath are eternally grateful for this, I know!), and unless someone comes through with a flatbed truck, one should prepare to replenish fluids and avoid possible medical problems (such as heat stroke) on what could possibly be a muggy day in which the mercury and the humidity exceed 90. So, bottled water and light clothes will be the order of the day.

If you are able to get us a flatbed truck for the parade, please contact Teri, our outstanding alumni representative, at fitnesst@aol.com.

Thanks.
