And suddenly, it’s over. (A reunion retrospective and postmortem)

Are you having a case of post partum reunion depression?

Yeah? Well, me too!

Wow! Was that a weekend or what?

Well, we did it!

From Friday’s mixer at Old Bag of Nails and Saturday’s dinner at Rocky Fork(and postgame at Rube’s) to Sunday’s school tour and picnic, as well as on the parade float on Monday, we had a hell of a good time!

We may be getting older, but we have jobs!

We want Rex, We want Rex!
(We didn’t get him on the float, darn it, but we did get the beers! Thanks, Rex!)

You kids are the best. You have been and you still are. It was great being with all of you over the weekend and learning what you have been up to these days. We always knew we were capable of great things, but you folks have far exceeded any of our wildest dreams, goals, and expectations. Keep it up! You’re doing a great job!

Hope you enjoyed the quiz. That was fun to put together. It’s no surprise that as people who know how to take a test, you all passed with flying colors and performed as well as you did.

Thanks to all of you who attended at least one of the events during the weekend. It was great to see so many of you, especially those of you "newbies" who experienced this for the first time.

Thanks also for your kind and generous words of appreciation so many of you expressed to those of us on the planning committee about how the weekend turned out. We are grateful to you for that. Being with you folks all weekend was the big payoff for us and made everything we put into it all worthwhile.

Thanks go to Eric and Barbie Davis Acton for organizing the school tour. Eric did a great job of showing us all the changes that have been made since we've been away.

Thanks to my fellow committee members: Carole Yoder, Rhonda Lashen Schottenstein, Leslie Mormol Green, Barb Hunt (who got us the flatbed truck so we wouldn’t have to walk the parade route, Thanks, Barb), Jackie Halla Sharpe, Tom Kauffman (Great job on the t-shirts, Tom), Michael Lefkowitz, Susan Callif Eisenman, Greig Lake, Sherri Rossman, Susan Hughes Morgan, Cassandra Loeffert Andorka, and Cheryl Harris Rushman (I apologize if I left anyone out). It was great to work with you kids on this. You made it a lot of fun.

And, last, but not least. Thanks to our fearless (and tireless) leader, our Awesome, Outstanding Alumni Representative, Teri Cohodes Morof, for, once again, working to pull off another great class reunion weekend. Teri, BHS’80World is grateful to you for all you have done for us!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank You!

So, until BHS’80World reconvenes in 2010, this is the ol’ righthander rounding third and heading for home! So long, everyone!

P.S. See ya on the road (and locally, as well!).

Meck
