Walter J. Leukart III obit
Jeff Leukart recently lost his father. Our condolences to Jeff and his family during this time of mourning. The following obit is from the September 29 edition of The Columbus Dispatch:
Walter J. Leukart III
LEUKART, III Walter J. Leukart, III, 67, resided in Ft. Myers, FL for two years after living his lifetime in Bexley, OH. He passed away at Hope Hospice House South in Ft. Myers, September 6, 2005, from cancer. "Bud" attended OSU, graduated BBA '61 from Univ. Cincinnati. Bud was a member of Sigma Chi and as a Commodore traveled on two Ohio Trade Missions with Gov. Rhodes. He and his 3 brothers were an Ohio first to join Blue Lodge, 32nd Degree, Humboldt class of John E. Bricker and the Aladdin Shrine. Bud, an entrepreneur, served on many boards and founded many businesses. He was COB, CEO, and Pres. of Schuler Leukart, Inc. He served on the Internat'l Bd. of Young President's Organization where he made many friends. An honest, fair and nice guy, Bud enjoyed golf, computers, photography and travel. Friends say he had the best short game in golf. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Sandra T. Leukart; 3 children, Jay (Maria) and Jeff (Jane) of CT, Megan (Richard) Hirsch of Bexley; 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, Alex, Makenzie; 2 brothers survive, Dennis (Ellen), Thom (Janie), and Ron, deceased, (Vicki). A Celebration of Life is Friday, October 7 at 1 p.m., Bexley United Methodist Church, 2657 E. Broad St., Bexley. Rev. Frank Luchsinger officiating. A private family Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery. Bud and his family request contributions be made to Restoration of Stained Glass Windows, Bexley Meth. Church & Lance Armstrong Foundation, Cancer Research.

Hi Meck, your blog is excellent. As I was surfing around today looking for detailed info on photography sears I somehow ended up on your page. As your Walter J. Leukart III obit is not exactly related to my search, I am certainly glad I stopped by.
