Got this e-mail update from Trish about her family:

Our son, Paul, is going to attend Vermont Academy this year...It is a traditional boarding school that specializes in winter sports. I don't know if I've ever mentioned that he is snowboarder, but he has placed in the top ten nationally for the past four years, and we just wanted him in a more structured environment for his sport...He does have red hair and so we call him our "little flying tomato."

Anyway, it's especially hard to see him (Paul) go, as our daughter, Emily, just left for college (Wittenberg) last week! You'll love this; one of her soccer teammates grew up just two houses down from the Lavines! Also, the two girls across the hall from her are from Bexley.

Blogmaster's thought: Maybe Emily will take a course from Wittenberg math prof Doug Andrews during her time there!
