Grid Lions contending for playoff spot

The 6-3 Bexley Lions could possibly make the state football postseason playoffs. The Lions are currently ranked 7th in Region 12 of Division 3 and jumped to that spot from the 9th position last week as a result of their overwhelming 42-20 victory over The Tweeds this past Friday at Cherry Bottom Road. The top eight teams in a given region advance to the first round of the state tournament. A tournament berth would be the first in school history.

The Blue and White men of coach John Smith close the regular season at home this Friday versus Heath. Smith played on the successful Mount Union College teams in the '90's and is the brother of basketball's Katie Smith.

Go Lions!
