Tying up some loose ends...
First, while we honored the memory of our classmates Melissa Becker and Michael Shamhart, we did not take time to honor those classmates who have served our country in the military. Brian Williams attended Friday and Saturday. A year ago, Brian retired after a 20 year Army career. We may have had a few other classmates serve as well.
Our reunion occurred during 4th of July weekend, a time when we annually celebrate the freedom and liberty we too often take for granted. Thanks to Brian and other classmates who have worn the military uniform and the colors of our country for making it possible for us to do so from one year to the next! We are grateful to you for your service to our nation!
Second, got e-mail from Julie Hendershot Minister with her new address (which is also included in the classmate update booklet).:

From everyone to Teri:
Words will never be able to express the appreciation we have for all of the work you did. If it wasn't for you, your work, your personality, your dedication, your phone calls, your E-mails, the weekend would not have been as successful as it was.
Driving in for the meetings was quite special and way beyond anything you needed to do. This helped with consistency and getting the necessary jobs done. You helped the procrastinators stay on target and fulfill their duties.
WE NEED YOU FOR ALL OF THE FUTURE REUNIONS!
We hope those who attended this year will attend in the future years as well as draw in more of the class. We hope that all will do some part in future reunions as well.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!

Hi everyone:
I am so glad so many of you made time to come to Columbus to celebrate our 25th class reunion. It was so much fun to see all of you visiting and catching up with each other. 71 of you attended one or more of the events during the weekend. Your attendance was what made it a success. Thank you soooo much. All of the events were a huge success.
We will be having a follow up reunion committee meeting shortly. Anyone is welcome to attend. Feel free to send me your feedback...good or bad....to help us plan for future reunions.
I feel it necessary to thank the following people for their dedication in making this a very successful reunion weekend:
First let me thank my committee for attending Sat morning meetings and one Monday night meeting during the last 9 months or so. You know who you are. A very big thanks.
Barb Hunt-thanks for your hard work getting the parade coordinated, from renting the truck to picking it up, getting the hay, putting the signs up, picking out and setting up the table decorations, etc. Very Big Thanks!! You are signed up to help for the next one.
Leslie Mormol Green-you were a shining star- your efforts setting up everything at the country club on your own and coordinating the party by picking out the menu, working with the catering department to make the evening so special, depositing checks and keeping good records on who had paid for dinner and T-shirts-You are an asset to the committee. Please continue to help in the future. I need you!!
Mike Lefkowitz-Thanks for suggesting Rocky Fork. It was an awesome venue for us. Big thanks. Your enthusiasm for the reunion was so awesome. Thanks.
Carole Yoder-Thanks for an awesome job on the invites and postcards. You were so much fun to work with and what a great job you did considering all the other stuff going on in your life.
Cassandra Loeffert Andorka-thanks for addressing all envelopes and postcards for the mailings. The Memory Book that you had people sign in was such a nice touch. Glad you could help us with that.
Cheryl Harris Rushman: Thanks for your hard work...your terrific secretarial skills were such an asset to the committee....you kept great records of the class on the excel spreadsheet program. Thanks for all your super hard work on that. You did such an awesome job getting everyone's name typed on a document for me so that I could then use it to put together the classmate updates.Your help with picking out and setting up the decorations was also a huge contribution! Thanks. You are officially appointed secretary for our committee meetings.
David Beck-It you don't know already, I adore you! You were such a help to us when you stepped up to drive the truck and pick it up ahead of time. A huge big hug and big thanks.

Eric Acton: Thank you so much for leading us on a very special tour through the high school. It was just amazing to see all of the changes.
And David Meckler-there are not enough words to express my gratitude to you for your efforts. You are an amazing person and a great team player. You stepped up and got us hooked up to the BHS80Blog, put an awesome quiz together, made copies of the quiz, picked up the give away, attended meetings, shared your memorabilia with us, took awesome photos during the weekend and posted them on line for us to enjoy right away, made phone calls, helped with the T-shirts, and made everyone feel welcome. You even drove Elise, Trish, Beth, and Dana to their hotel on Sat. night after Rubinos. You are a true gentleman! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for Your Top Ten Reasons for not attending the reunion, the CD you put together, and Pre and Post Reunion reflections. Wow is all I can say! ( I apologize if you contributed to the weekend and I left you out.)
