Dr. Jeremy Golding
Some of you might remember Jeremy. He was with us in Junior High and Freshman Year, but did not graduate with us. Here is what he has been up to since he left:
After graduating from Walnut Ridge, Jeremy went on to college at Washington U in St. Louis and med school at Case where he met his future wife, Michele, also a med student. A residency in family medicine at the University of Rochester followed. Michele and Jeremy married and settled for a bit in Rochester (great town, much too grey though, most of the time!).
They moved to Connecticut for Michele's fellowship, and Jeremy ended up in practice there (first ER, then Family Medicine). The call of academics pulled them up to the University of Massachusetts (Worcester), where Jeremy is now the Inpatient Director for the Department of Family Medicine at UMass, as well as the Associate Residency Director. He's hoping for a promotion to full professor in a year or so.
Still a bit of a techno-geek (remember the old teletype terminals (pre-PC's) connected to Battelle? Ticker tape to save programs?!), he is making a name for himself in the medical uses of Palm Pilots (seriously!).
Michelle and Jeremy have three kids. Their oldest, Maya is a med student at Yale. Eliana is 15 and an actress, dancer, and athlete. Yona, 13, also loves acting. Family time often involves skiing (the bug bit Jeremy during residency; the kids have been skiing since they began to walk!), hiking, and activities in the Worcester Jewish community.
