Beckey L. Hartley
HARTLEY Beckey L. Hartley, age 71, passed away January 14, 2007, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Edna Hartley and was born July 31, 1935, in Nelsonville, Oh. Beckey was a graduate of Capital University and had performed and been a member of The Chapel Choir. She had lead the Department of Music for 9 years at Southern Local School District, in Perry County and retired after 36 years of teaching Vocal Music at Bexley Middle School. She is survived by her brother, David (Judy) Hartley; a very dear friend and caregiver, Anna Hughes; nieces, Jennifer (Richard) Martin of Hilliard, Sheryll (Brent) Zobenica of Pickerington; nephews, Tom Hartley in the U.S. Army, of Ariz., Jeff (Tracy) Manning of Pickerington; great-niece, Madison Gibson; and great-nephews, Alex Gibson, Jacob Hartley and Josh Manning; sister-in-law, Evelyn (Don) Moyer of Zanesville, Oh. A Memorial Service will be held at a date to be announced. Arrangements being handled thru WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E. Livingston Ave. The family suggests any contributions being made in "Memory of Beckey Hartley" be directed to Mount Carmel Hospice.Published in The Columbus Dispatch on 1/16/2007.
