Beth Costello Erdy e-mail
I e-mailed Beth after Teri informed us of her new e-mail. I asked Beth about her daughters who compete in team sports for Olentangy Liberty High School. Her response now follows:
Hi David:
It was good to hear from you. Sorry I missed everyone at the reunion. We had a family wedding in Indianapolis that weekend. Yes, that is my daughter Brittny who plays basketball for Liberty. The year you saw her she was a sophomore -- playing on the varsity team. She had a very good season last year as a junior - starting as a shooting gaurd. This year she is a senior an is one of the captains of the team! We are very proud of her. She has worked very hard and is quite a good little player. She is also a member of the varsity volleyball team and has been on the varsity team since her sophomre year. Brittny suffered a serious back injury - she ruptured 2 discs in her lower back and underwent major back surgery in April of 2004! She has recovered beautifully and didn't miss any of her bball or vball seasons last year. We are really looking forward to this, her senior year!
And, you're right we also have another daughter who plays volleyball and basketball for Liberty High School. Brooke will be a junior this year (just 13 months younger than Brittny). It is a lot of fun to watch the girls playing out there together. Brooke is an outstanding volleyball player -- she is an outside hitter and very powerful. Brittny is the setter on the team so it is fun to watch the teamwork between the two of them. My old high school coaches, Sandy Haines and Vince Speciale would be proud of their accomplishments!!
We also have a 3rd daughter, Brynn, who is going into the 7th grade. She would like to follow in her sisters footsteps with vball and bball but, she is a very good tennis player and tennis is a fall sport like volleyball. So, she has some decisions to make! Tryouts for the 7th grade team is coming up. Right now I think she is leaning towards volleyball......we'll see!
Thanks for asking about Todd, too. He is great! Enough about my family....How are you doing?
Come watch a game or two sometime! Take care and keep in touch.
