Well, here we are!
The weekend we have been waiting for is upon us!
Let's get fired up! (boom boom boom boom boom)
Yes, shout it from the rooftops! Exclaim it mightily and proudly! It's BHS'80's 25th reunion weekend!
Are you ready for a reunion?
Well, all your R-O-W-D-I-E (that's the way you spell rowdie...hey, hey, get rowdie!) friends are going to be here this weekend!

We've got spirit, yes we do, we've got spirit, how about you?
This is our weekend to shine, as we gather with classmates to celebrate what we've accomplished and achieved, as we see where we've come from and where we're going!
Why, even The Pointer Sisters are so excited. They just can't hide it. They're about to lose control and they think they like it. (And they didn't even go to Bexley!).
Spirit. Let's hear it!
In the 1950's movie Brigadoon, a town in Scotland comes alive for a day every 100 years. Likewise with us, BHS'80World assembles for a long weekend every five years. And, oh, what a weekend this shapes up to be. From the Friday night mixer at Old Bag of Nails and the Saturday dinner at Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club to Sunday's school tour and family picnic at the Jeffrey Mansion shelter house, not to mention riding in Monday's parade. It will be chock full of fun (and nuts, too!) and memories as we once again are with many familiar faces.
The best word I know to describe this phenomenon is "mispucha" (mish-pook-ah; yiddish for "family.") This is really a family reunion. Oh, we'll be with our families on Sunday and Monday, but from Friday through Monday, we'll be with our Bexley family.
We are a close knit group and the extent to which we are emotionally bonded is at an all-time high and continues to trend upward! We keep doing this because we enjoy being with each other and seeing how we're all doing.
So, be sure to soak it all up, take it in, and enjoy every minute of it!
Many thanks go to those who served on the organizing commitee. It was great to work with all of you. Nice going! You did a great job. This includes: Barbara Hunt, Leslie Mormol Green, Jackie Halla Sharpe, Carole Yoder, Sherri Rossman, Susan Hughes Morgan, Susan Callif Eisenman, Rhonda Lashen Schottenstein, Tom Kauffman, Greig Lake, Michael Lefkowitz, Barbie Davis Acton, Cheryl Harris Rushman, and Cassandra Loeffert Andorka (I hope I didn't leave anyone out, I apologize if I did).
Special thanks go to our committe chair and Awesome Outstanding Alumni Rep Teri Cohodes Morof, who once again, knocked herself out and did a masterful job of coordinating every aspect in the planning of this weekend! Congratulations, Teri, on a job well-done!
As we get closer to the event, I leave you with words from page nine of our 1980 Bexleo. Editors-in-Chief Amy Arnett Budzik, Patricia Willcox Hanna, and Amy Williams Rowe provide this enlightened and insightful look to the future:
"Is it not fun to remember? But just do not forget what has passed when moving toward the future. With the seventies will go many fond memories, but the eighties are here, and it is a time of tumult and change which everyone will be a part of."
"Hello 80's, have we got a class for you!"
